Festival “Battle of Klushino, 400 years”, Warsaw, Poland, 3-4 of July 2010
On July 3-4, 2010, in the centre of Warsaw, Poland, will take place the festival devoted to 400 anniversary of the Battle of Klushino (July 4, 1610).

One of the biggest 17th-century festivals in Europe in 2010. More than 600 participants, including more than 130 horses, more than 80 Polish hussars (the greatest quantity at our times). Participants from Poland, Australia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Germany, Russia, Sweden, Ukraine, USA and others.

Organizers invite all who would like to take part in festival, battle reconstruction, tournaments and other activities.

Participation conditions:

All re-enactors reenacting Russia (Moscow) and Kossacks, Sweden, France, Germany, Spain, Flanders, Scotland and England of 16-17th centuries are invited to participate. On the basis of separate agreement with organizers there is a possibility of participation of other groups.

The organizers offer:

- full board (17th century kitchen)

- for participants without historical tents - military tents

- a bath in camp territory

- access to the Warsaw museums (possible - access to any place, according to demands and wishes of participants)

- fair of the historical weapon and the equipment (participation possible)

Event program (still in preparation, changes possible):

On July, 1-2st, Thursday-Friday:

- Arrival of participants

On July, 2nd:

- Preparation for the battle, rehearsal

On July, 3rd, Saturday:

- In the morning last rehearsal of the battle,

- Sabre tournament,

- Jousting tournament,

- historical camp,

- other attractions,

- 15.00: for interested participants (for infantry will be buses provided): parade through Warsaw to the Museum of the Polish Army and opening of an exhibition devoted to the Battle of Klushino)

- 17.00 parade from Museum to the Old Town

- 20.00 17th century-style feast, concerts: Jacek Kowalski, Cree & TSA; other entertainments.

On July, 4th, the main day of festival:

- 9:30 open air historical holy mass

- Presentation of participants

-12.00 battle reconstruction

- Presentation and an exchange of collection of coins of Klushino issued by the Polish Central Bank.

During the main day of festival participation of representatives of embassies of all countries that participated in the battle and many other events (program is still in preparation).
